Electric Vehicles (EVs) do require special types of tyres as they have much heavier batteries than conventional vehicles. Due to this increased weight, the increased torque and quiet nature of EVs, it would be beneficial for the EV owner to use specially designed EV tyres with additional supportive constructions and added sound reduction technology to improve range, handling and comfort.
